Andrew Keyes first moved to Markham with his family in 1999. Since moving to Markham Andrew has been very active in his community, doing volunteer work and looking after the interests of his neighbours. Andrew is past-President of the Cornell Ratepayers Association and has worked with the City of Markham to ensure residents are treated fairly and their tax dollars are not squandered.

After completing a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree from Ryerson University, Andrew worked in the corporate communications and advertising field. In 1997 he founded his first business, Armantus Inc., which he successfully grew and managed.

With a passion for public service, Andrew has served on the Markham Cornell Advisory Group where he worked to ensure city planning and development were aligned with the needs of this fast-growing community.

Andrew Keyes was first elected as Markham Ward 5 Councillor in October, 2018.
