Officers with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 16-year old in connection with two residential break and enters that occurred in the City of Markham
On September 27, 2019, officers responded to a report of an attempted break and enter at a residence on Bur Oak Avenue in Markham. The suspect attempted to kick in the front door when the homeowner went to the door and confronted him. The suspect fled on foot.
On October 4, 2019, officers responded to a report of a break and enter on Morning Dove Drive in Markham. Through the investigation this incident was linked to the other and the suspect was identified.
On November 25, 2019, the suspect was arrested and is now facing charges.
