Please join me at Community meeting for two Development proposals in Mount Joy – Ward 5.
1. Subject property 77 Anderson Ave, a change is proposed whereby the City of Markham received a complete Official Plan Amendment Application and a Zoning Bylaw Amendment submitted by Meadow Park Investments (BT) Inc.
AND
2. Subject property (Block 7, 65M2505) is located at the south-west corner of Markham Road and Castlemore Avenue and has an area of approximately 0.67 ha (1.65 acres). It is currently vacant with no significant vegetation on site. The subject property is designated “Mixed-use High-Rise” in the 2014 Official Plan (as partially approved on October 30, 2015
2. Applicant’s Proposal – south-west corner of Markham Road and Castlemore Avenue
The applicant has submitted a Zoning By-law amendment to permit a mixed-use high rise development comprised of two residential towers with heights of 32 and 27-storeys at 9781 Markham Road. The proposed development will include 722 residential dwelling units and 517 sq. m (5,571 sq. ft.) of commercial retail uses at grade along the Markham Road frontage.
The Community meeting will be held Monday April 4, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom, please register for the zoom link at ward5markham.ca/register. Both Applicants and City Planning staff will be on hand to provide information and address questions and concerns. The mandatory Public meeting for these two applications will be held on Tuesday April 19th. Separate notices for the Public meeting will be sent.
