This is week 8 of the stay at home order. I am not sure we can thank our Health Care and Front Line heroes enough for all they are doing for us. Staying at home has brought new challenges and anxiety we have never experienced before, I know that some of our behaviours have changed as well. We’re watching more television, Netflix, movies and with that goes snacking, eating, drinking.
The nicer weather is almost on us, our kids will want to bike, skip, rollerblade and these things we can do with them, while physically distancing. There are also many links to online fitness programs you can enjoy at home. Please check them out. Being active benefits mental health as well as well as physical health.
The YMCA offers many different programs, including YOGA; BOOTCAMP; BASKETBALL and more.
The City of Markham offers free classes as well. Workouts & Exercise for total body fitness, cardio, demonstrations and fit tips. With any fitness program, its always a good idea to speak with your Dr. before you start something new.
