Status of Cornell Community Park

The residents of Cornell have been waiting a very long time for the large Cornell Community Park (CCP) to be completed. As many residents know, the original target date for Phase 1, was scheduled for fall of this year (2019). A number of factors have contributed to the delays. Markham’s 2019 Budget Delivers Value for Taxpayers

MARKHAM, ON – March 20, 2019 - On March 19, Markham Council approved the City’s 2019 Budget of $519.78 million, which maintains current high quality services and continues investment in Council-approved priorities. The 2019 tax rate increase of 1.97 per cent is below the rate of inflation and will mean an increase of $24 in property taxes for the average residential household in Markham.
