One of the benefits of being a Ward Councillor is meeting so many residents, and hearing about the concerns and priorities.

Thank you to all who were available to attend Tuesday’s community meeting.  I enjoyed seeing you all. Our great friends at Rhenish Church of Canada in Upper Cornell are always so gracious to open their doors to us.  As Pastor Mavis said, we both serve the Community. A great sentiment and so true.

To kick off the evening, PC Brian Hinds of York Regional Police, provided a great refresher with many useful tips related to property and personal safety.

My presentation provided an overview of number key concerns not only in Ward 5 but across the City.

In regards to Development, we discussed the impacts of new Provincial legislation and and I provided an overview of some of the new projects coming to our area, specifically around the Transit Orientated Communities of Mount Joy and Cornell Centre.

I then provided a short report on the 2023 City budget.

To close out the evening, I was pleased to respond to a wide range of questions, including snow clearing, parking, and many other important concerns many of you have.

The good folks at Rhenish Church not only provided the space for our meeting, but also facilitated a recording of the evening to share:
